About this Talk

Eric Johnsen, CEO of R3 - Rehabilitation, Restoration & Respite, explores the multifaceted restoration process for individuals experiencing homelessness and how faith communities can play a significant role in it. For each element of this process (such as case management, support services, and reconnecting to the community), he outlines several strategies that faith communities can use and many examples of organizations that have successfully utilized them. In the latter part of this presentation, Pastor John Klawita of Faith Lutheran Church talks about the tiny house village project his community is currently developing, emphasizing the importance of a mutually collaborative process and getting people interested and educated in these issues.
